On the occasion of 14 August , Independence day of Pakistan was celebrated at Department of Orthotics and Prosthetics , Benazir Bhutto Hospital , rawalpindi. A cake cutting ceremony was arranged. Students participated in different fun activities related to the Independence Day which included Competitions of bait bazi , speech , live kalaam and Singing of Milli Naghmas. The ceremony was ended with prayers for Pakistan.
On 14 August 1947, Pakistan gained its independence and declared a sovereign state following the end of British India. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Liaquat Ali Khan, and many others under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah worked tirelessly for the political, social, and economic uplifting of Muslims in British India. They played a vital role during the independence movement. To remember their efforts, sacrifice, and celebrate independence, Pakistanis all across the globe arrange Independence events.
