MoU signed for rehab services to polio survivors

Memorandum of understanding (MOU),for providing Rehab services and enrolment of polio cases in school to polio survivors at free of cost ,was signed between Pakistan Institute of Prosthetic & Orthotic (PIPOS) and World Health Organization (WHO) .

A meeting was held at head office of World Health Organization (WHO), Islamabad ,where Chairman and Managing Director, Pakistan Institute of Prosthetic & Orthotic (PIPOS) attended the meeting in presence of high delegation of World Health Organization (WHO).

The official of World Health Organization (WHO) really appreciated the services of Pakistan Institute of Prosthetic & Orthotic (PIPOS) to Person with disabilities since 1981.Thisorganization is not only providing rehab services to polio survivor but also providing expenses for education from 2007 with the collaboration of World Health Organization (WHO).Bothof organization have same aim to make them independent citizens of Pakistan. 

Under present Memorandum of understanding (MOU), Pakistan Institute of Prosthetic & Orthotic (PIPOS) will provide rehab services and education expenses to polio survivors up to the age of 15 years across the whole country. Currently, this MOU is for the period of 01 years (2018-19). Pakistan Institute of Prosthetic & Orthotic (PIPOS) has a clear mandate, strong setup and Human Resource (HR) across the country for the provision of rehab services.
