CHAL Foundation and Al-Farabi Centre Explore Rehabilitation Partnership

Islamabad, Pakistan: CHAL Foundation has welcomed a delegation from the Al-Farabi National Special Education Centre for Physically Handicapped Children, operating under the Directorate General of Special Education, Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training, to explore opportunities for collaboration in rehabilitation and assistive-device services for children with disabilities.

The visiting delegation, led by Mr. Islam Riaz, was received by Mr. Fateh Tariq, CEO of CHAL Foundation, along with members of the CHAL Foundation team.

During the visit, the CHAL Foundation team provided an overview of its rehabilitation services and gave the visiting delegation a tour of its rehabilitation facilities. The visit provided an opportunity for both organizations to exchange perspectives on the rehabilitation needs of children with physical disabilities.

The discussions primarily focused on disability inclusion, rehabilitation support, and access to assistive devices for children with physical disabilities.

Both organizations discussed potential areas of collaboration aimed at extending rehabilitation and assistive-device services to children receiving care and education at the Al-Farabi Centre. Such collaboration could help strengthen access to specialized rehabilitation services and assistive technology for children who require ongoing functional support.
