Mahboob Medical Institute Launches One-Month Internship Program in Prosthetics & Orthotics

Mahboob Medical Institute (MMI) has announced a new Professional Internship Program in Prosthetics and Orthotics, aimed at giving students and recent graduates practical, clinic-based experience in the field. The one-month program is open to undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and fresh graduates, and is priced at PKR 5,000 per student. Participants who complete the program successfully will receive a certificate.

According to MMI, the internship is designed to build hands-on clinical skills under the guidance of experienced faculty. Interns will be exposed to patient assessment, prosthetic and orthotic design, fabrication techniques, fitting and alignment, gait analysis, rehabilitation principles, assistive devices and mobility aids, clinical documentation, quality and patient safety, and case studies through practical sessions.

The program emphasizes real patient exposure, expert mentorship, structured skill development, and professional feedback throughout the training. MMI says the internship is intended to help participants strengthen their clinical knowledge and prepare for future careers in prosthetics and orthotics, whether they are still studying or have recently graduated.

Program features highlighted by the institute include experienced faculty specializing in prosthetics and orthotics, modern labs and clinical setup, interactive sessions and case discussions, practical hands-on training, an air-conditioned classroom, and a certificate of completion.
