
Islamabad — A comprehensive five-day KAFO training program successfully concluded at Rehab Initiative Islamabad, organized in collaboration with ICRC Pakistan. The training brought together professionals from across the prosthetics and orthotics field, offering them an opportunity to enhance their technical skills and practical expertise.
Participants described the program as highly valuable, noting that the hands-on sessions, expert guidance, and exposure to modern rehabilitation techniques significantly enriched their professional capabilities. The training focused on improving design, fitting, and clinical application of KAFOs, helping practitioners upgrade their knowledge according to international standards.
The certificate distribution ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Chairman of RI, Dr. Bakht Sarwar, Mr. Ahmad Al-Mosa, Manager of ICRC’s PRP Program in Pakistan, Dr. Abid Hussain, Managing Director of PIPOS and Additional Director General (M&E), Health Department KP, Mr. Liaquat Ali Malik, and Madam Tabssum, whose presence added further prominence to the event.
The organizers expressed hope that such initiatives will continue to strengthen the capacity of rehabilitation professionals in Pakistan and contribute to improved patient care across the country.
