Visiting Orthotics & Prosthetics Faculty Required

Nishtar Medical University (NMU), Multan has announced opportunities for Visiting Faculty to teach courses in its BS Orthotics & Prosthetics degree program.

The recruitment is being made under the NMU Visiting Faculty Statutes 2022 and includes teaching and subject specialist positions relevant to Orthotics & Prosthetics education.

Positions Related to Orthotics & Prosthetics

1. Lecturer – BS Orthotics & Prosthetics

• Subjects: Material & Biomaterials, Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences, and Engineering Drawing
• Number required: 01 faculty member for each subject
• Qualification: MS/M.Phil/M.Sc or equivalent degree in the relevant subject
• If an appropriately qualified candidate is not available, BS in the relevant subject may be considered.

2. Lecturer – Natural Sciences / Bio Physics

• Applicable to BS Orthotics & Prosthetics, BS Allied Health Sciences and DPT
• Number required: 01 for each subject
• Qualification: MS/M.Phil/M.Sc/Ph.D in the relevant discipline; if unavailable, BS in the relevant subject.

3. Course Coordinator / Lecturer – BS Endoscopy Technology & BS Orthotics & Prosthetics

• Position: Subject Specialist / Course Coordinator / Lecturer
• Number required: 02 per discipline
• Qualification: MS/M.Phil/MS/Ph.D in the relevant discipline; if unavailable, BS in the relevant subject.

Employment Terms

• Hiring period: Two (02) years, including a probation period of three (03) months.
• The appointment may be extended for one additional year after completion of two years, subject to performance evaluation, student feedback and university requirements.
• Remuneration: Rs. 1,500 per lecture.
• No allowances or increments are admissible.
• Either side may terminate the hiring by giving one month’s notice.
