JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including clinical, functional, and biomechanical evaluations, and determine appropriate prosthetic and orthotic interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized prosthetic and orthotic treatment plans in coordination with the rehabilitation team.
• Liaise with physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
• Prescribe, measure, cast, design, fabricate, fit, align, and modify prosthetic and orthotic devices according to individual patient requirements.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding the correct use, donning/doffing, maintenance, hygiene, safety, and care of prosthetic and orthotic appliances.
• Monitor patients’ progress and arrange follow-up assessments to evaluate fit, function, comfort, skin condition, and overall clinical outcomes.
• Identify and address device-related problems and coordinate timely repairs, adjustments, replacements, or modifications.
• Ensure that prosthetic and orthotic devices are produced and delivered according to prescribed specifications and required quality and safety standards.
