Required Qualification

Candidates must possess one of the following:

• Postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy / Prosthetics / Orthotics (or an equivalent qualification with other nomenclatures) from an HEC-recognized university; OR
• FCPS / FRCS / MD in Orthopedics and Spine Surgery / Physiatry, or an equivalent PM&DC Level-III clinical medical qualification.

Required Experience

For Postgraduate degree holders (Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy / Prosthetics & Orthotics): At least 12 years of experience equivalent to the rank of BPS-17 and above, including at least 5 years with a reputed comprehensive physical rehabilitation / sector organization.

For Orthopedics & Spine Surgeons: At least 12 years of experience as Associate Professor and below in the respective specialty (duly recognized and calculated by the PMDCC), including at least 5 years of service in a senior management position within a well-reputed comprehensive physical rehabilitation organization, dealing with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities — preferably in a public sector organization.

Research Publications

A total of at least 12 research publications in the respective field / specialty / physical medicine and rehabilitation, published in HEC-recognized journals — of which at least 6 must be published with the candidate as the principal author.

Tenure of Appointment

The appointment shall be on a contract basis for a term of four (4) years, or until the attainment of 60 years of age, whichever is earlier. The appointment shall be governed by the Paraplegic Centre at Hayatabad, Peshawar — Appointment of the Chief Executive Officer (Terms and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2026.

Remuneration

The position carries a pay package commensurate with experience, as determined by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Important Instructions

• A candidate may be disqualified or excluded from the interview if he/she has been: (a) convicted by a court of law, (b) dismissed from public service, (c) knowingly furnished false information, or (d) submitted forged/tampered documents.
• Applications will be scrutinized by the HR Committee, and shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the Board of Governors. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the Test/Interview based on submitted documents.
• The appointment shall be made by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the recommendations of the Board.
• No TA/DA shall be admissible for attending the Test/Interview.
