MoU signed for Orthotics Prosthetic Services

A MoU has been already signed with Pakistan Institute of Prosthetic and Orthotic Sciences (PIPOS) Peshawar where poor patients of Fata, who lost their limbs in various incidents of terrorism including bomb blasts and IED explosions, would be provided artificial limbs free of cost to help bring them into normal life, he said, adding the Government would bear all expenses of such patients for which Rs60 millions were allocated.

Training conducted at CHAL Foundation for P&Os

Chal Foundation, under its Capacity Development Program, successfully conducted a six-day training on Trans Tibial Prosthesis for its CPOs. The training was held at CFRC Swabi where Prosthetists from different Rehab Centres of the Foundation participated.At the end of training, Certificiate Distribution Ceremony was held where the trainees were awarded Certificate of Participation. The ceremony was also attended by Dr Bakht Sarwar (CEO Chal Foundation), Dr Niaz Muhammad (DHO Swabi), Dr Iqbal Begum (Principal Gaju Khan Medical College Swabi) and other Faculty members of the GKMC.

2nd meeting on POPC held in Rawalpindi

second meeting on Pakistan Orthotics Prosthetics Council was held at Fauji Foundation Hospital on Thurday 3rd March 2016. Mr.Nadeem Gul  chair the meeting. Mr.Mazher Husain,Mis Hufsa Shahzad,Mrs.Anum Humayun,Mis Ajla javaid were among attendees. The strategy and work plan was discussed. Next meeting will be on 9th April 2016. 
 

 

OPPAK Arranged First meeting on POPC

Orthotics Prosthetics Pakistan (OPPAK.com) organised first meeting on POPC which was held at PIRS Islamabad on 20th February 2016. Out of 31 invited guests, OP reps from FFH, PIRS, AFIRM, RMC, OPPAK and ROPS attended the meeting. Process details, plan of action, and documentation for POPC were discussed in meeting. Next meeting will be held in March 2016 ,Rawalpindi InshaAllah.

Dubai: A get together has been arranged by Mr. Shad Muhammad Khan Orthotist Prosthetist to offer condolences on sad demise of mother of Mr. Mazahra Hussaiin Tazagrami.

Peshawar: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been inked between Directorate Health Services Fata and Pakistan Institute of Prosthetic and Orthotic Sciences (PIPOS) Peshawar where poor patients of tribal areas inculding TDPs, who lost their limbs in various incidents of terrorism including bomb blasts and IED explosions, would be provided artificial limbs free of cost to help bring them into normal life, he said, adding the Government would bear all expenses of such patients for which Rs60 millions were allocated.
